Description
Psychoeducation is a medically-based, conversationally delivered service where the individual receives targeted information, understanding, and guidance about mental or neuropsychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, or autism. The aim is to increase insight into symptoms, contributing factors, treatment options, and strategies for managing daily life.
The teaching is carried out by a doctor and is individually adapted based on the person's issues, functional level, and needs. The psychoeducation takes place as a combination of conversation and visual communication methods, for example illustrations, models, screen sharing, slides, or written material to support understanding and overview.
The service can be provided either in person or as a video consultation.
Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes.
The following courses are offered:
- Single session
1 psychoeducation session of approx. 20 minutes
Price: 1,300 kr. - A course of 4 sessions
4 psychoeducational sessions of approx. 20 minutes
Total price: 5,000 kr.
Psychoeducation can be used to supplement assessment, treatment, medical follow-up, or counselling and can be relevant for individuals and, potentially, their relatives by agreement.
