A psychiatric specialist certificate is a professional assessment prepared by a specialist in psychiatry. It is used in connection with insurance and pension cases, work injury assessments or as documentation for municipal and public authorities.
Course of events
The process consists of a conversation lasting approximately 90 minutes during which the specialist will go through:

Content of the declaration
After the interview, a 6-8 page statement is prepared, typically containing:

Overall psychiatric assessment

Diagnosis and prognosis
The statement can be used directly in cases where an impartial and professional assessment of mental health and functional level is required.
