- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is a form of therapy that helps people reduce discomfort from the past. Traumatic experiences such as assault, abuse or natural disasters so that the past stays in the past and the present can be lived without disruption. EMDR is effective in addressing symptoms such as nightmares, anxiety and low self-esteem.
- A therapy session takes place either in person or by video and includes one hour of work divided into approximately 45 minutes of conversation and approximately 15 minutes of administration and statutory record keeping.
